Xavier n’est qu’instinct, drôle de bestiole qui s’anime sur sa piste. C’est le poids des mots qui
s’entrechoquent, qui font son, qui font sens, équivoques parfois, lumineux souvent. Il lance
les mots en jongleur du verbe. Et les récupère. Il les recycle, en alchimiste du mot : « Tout est
dans la manière où le magicien dose ». C’est un modeste qui pourtant fanfaronne, fort de l’effet
produit, fier de tous ses mots qu’il sait mettre en ordre de marche, avec qui il joue sans cesse,
calembourant par ci, contrepétant par là. De la belle écriture vraiment… Difficile de se lasser
d’un tel bonhomme. Michel Kemper
